Strengthening Our Commitment
to Quality and Safety
GTI Achieves ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 Certification
Geophysical Technology, Inc. (GTI) is proud to announce it has received ISO 9001 certification for Quality Management Systems and ISO 45001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, both under its Integrated Management System.
These internationally recognized certifications represent an important milestone in GTI’s continued commitment to providing high-quality products and services while protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, develops globally recognized management system standards that help organizations establish consistent, effective, and continually improving business processes.
ISO certification involves an independent assessment of an organization’s management systems to confirm that they meet the requirements of the applicable international standard. Certification is not simply a one-time achievement; it requires an organization to maintain its management system, monitor performance, conduct audits, address identified issues, review results at the management level, and continually improve its processes.
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management. For GTI, certification demonstrates that we have established systematic processes to understand customer requirements, plan and control our operations, manage suppliers, monitor performance, control nonconforming products or services, implement corrective actions, and continually improve our organization’s effectiveness.
For our clients, this provides added confidence that GTI manages quality in a structured and repeatable manner. Whether we are designing and developing geophysical technology, assembling and maintaining equipment, supporting seismic data acquisition operations, or delivering services in the field, our objective is the same: understand the requirement, perform the work correctly, verify the result, and continuously look for opportunities to improve.

ISO 45001 provides the framework for managing occupational health and safety risks. Certification reinforces GTI’s commitment to preventing injuries and occupational illness,
identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks, involving employees in safety processes, preparing for emergencies, and continually improving our health and safety performance.
At GTI, safety is not the responsibility of the HSSEQ department alone. It is an organizational responsibility supported by management and carried through every level of the company. Employees are encouraged to report hazards, near misses, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement. They are also empowered, and expected, to stop work when conditions are unsafe. By identifying issues early, investigating their causes, and following corrective actions through to effective closure, GTI learns from experience and strengthen the controls that protect our people and our operations.
A critical element of both certifications is leadership commitment. GTI management provides the resources, direction, accountability, and oversight necessary to maintain an effective Integrated Management System. “Achieving these certifications reflects the discipline and commitment of our people across every part of GTI,” said Richard Degner, CEO. “Our clients rely on us for technology and services that perform in demanding environments, and these standards help us deliver that safely and consistently.” GTI routinely evaluates quality and safety performance, establishes and monitors objectives, and uses management reviews to assess performance, identify risks and opportunities, and determine where further improvement is required.
Although GTI’s current certifications focus on ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, our Integrated Management System also aligns our processes with the principles and requirements of ISO 14001 for Environmental Management. We incorporate environmental considerations into operational planning, risk assessment, waste management, resource use, supplier and contractor activities, and project execution. This approach supports responsible operations and helps ensure that environmental risks and impacts are considered alongside quality and occupational health and safety.
Together, these management-system principles support a culture based on quality, safety, environmental responsibility, accountability, risk-based thinking, and continual improvement.
For our clients, certification means more than a certificate on the wall. It demonstrates that GTI has established internationally recognized processes to control its work, manage risk, measure performance, respond to problems, and improve over time.
For our employees, it provides a consistent framework for how we work and reinforces management’s commitment to providing safe working conditions and the resources needed to perform work effectively.
For GTI, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification represents both an achievement and an ongoing responsibility. We remain committed to maintaining these standards, continually improving our Integrated Management System, and delivering the quality, safety, reliability, and environmental responsibility our clients and employees expect from us.
